Amazon Cloud Drive Review and Overview

Offline data storage devices are quite risky, given that their data can be lost in an instant if any physical harm is done on them. The better option for many cloud service users and developers is, therefore, an online storage service called Cloud drives.

One of the famous giants named Amazon, also offers its online storage service called Amazon Cloud Drive. It was formerly known as Amazon Drive. It is one of the leading cloud storage services in the world. Users get a free subscription of Amazon Prime and Kindle Fire with Amazon Drive paid plans. These amenities are offered in all major countries, with a limited operation in China and Brazil.

Amazon Cloud Drive Services and Plans

The service was developed first in 2011. The service had a pay as use plans before, but now it uses a dedicated subscription model. Now it even offers unlimited storage plans for many users. Amazon Cloud Drive now offers plans in simple form as Prime membership, 100 GB, and 1 TB storage plans.

Users can also get Amazon Drive legacy apps on iOS and Android devices. In the first basic Prime plan, users get entertainment and shopping services on their e-commerce website. A Prime plan has up to 5GB of free storage on Amazon Drive. Beyond this, they offer two mainstream storage service plans.

One is a 100 GB plan that costs $11.99/year, and the other one includes 1 TB free storage at $59.99/year. Users can extend this up to 30 TB with the addition of extra TB in each plan. Amazon Prime Photos and Prints are disabled in countries like Japan, Australia, China, and Brazil. All plans and drive features are accessible either from the Amazon Drive website or its native app.

The features include typical file sharing, folder creation, upload/download, non-encrypted storage, amazon prints, digital media players, sync services, and reliable operating services. The transfer speed obtained while using this drive is great. The UI is surprisingly very meek and has zero learning curve. In general, their services are good, but lack of encrypted storage is the only drawback. Other than that, Amazon Cloud Drive is quite a secure option for cloud storage.
