LibreOffice suite is a popular alternative as a free office suite, which contains products for documentation, spreadsheets, presentation, calculations, and many more. The interface has an inbuilt grammar and spelling checker too. It has a static menu interface called a notebook bar. The tabs are presented with options like files, insert menu, design menu, layouts, page setup, etc. The setup has inbuilt functions for drawing tools and calculation functions. Some of these calculations can be directly inserted into the documents to get the desired results. The interface can run on minimal system requirements, unlike other big office suites.
LibreOffice Writer Interface
There is a classic sidebar on the right side of the LibreOffice Writer interface that offers many useful options when clicked. These options are used for managing the word style, character types, font size, and colors. It has several formatting options like managing subscript, superscripts, bold, italics, etc. Writer also supports paragraphs and paraphrasing tools. Spacing and indentation can be managed from this interface itself. These are also called as decks in this UI.
LibreOffice Writer also features a built-in equation writer as well as the editor. It comprises of most math and science symbols and pointers needed to write a full scientific equation. Other than this, it also uses an extensive page layout format, different types of views, templates, and many other tools.
