Otus Review and Overview

With innovations focusing more on human comfort and efficiency of every task done, modern-day applications have come up with unique solutions to make daily life easy and change the traditional methods in fields that hadn’t seen change for centuries. One such area is Education. The emergence of the Learning Management System has revolutionized the way schools provide education. It has turned out to be a beneficial asset for teachers as well as students, as they get rid of menial tasks while also conserving the nature (saving paper) and learning in a better and interactive way.

Educating made smarter and easier

When teachers start with the app on their devices, the first thing they’ll notice is how easy and friendly the interface is. The first step they have to perform is to add the students enrolled in their classes, which is done by sending a joining code to each student. Once the students have been added, they can start with teaching right away. There are columns for adding lessons, assignments, quizzes, and even polls. When uploading a lesson, teachers can also mention what’s the level of material and other instructions related to it.

When adding assignments, teachers just have to type in the questions and mention what kind of answers do they expect from students on it. The software handles the rest and prepares the assignment clean and organized, just like how a real teacher would prefer. About the questions being added in material, teachers get to decide the weightage of each question and even automate the grading in case questions have single choice answers.

A perfect place to be a student

Otus is not only beneficial for teachers; it turns out to be a useful asset for students as well. The student interface looks nearly the same but comes with features like answering the questions, uploading the answers via word or PDF files, and checking the schedule for due dates.

A unique feature in the student version of Otus that makes it stand out of all the other learning management systems is the common forum where students can chat amongst themselves about the class activities that involve working in groups. All these features make Otus a perfect learning management system for every class from Kindergarten to Grade 12.
