Quicken Review and Overview

It is now sort of mandatory in the modern age to have a track of your personal finance. Like the old days, we need to keep track of families’ income, expenditure, saving, and other financial stuff, along with keeping in check future risks.

For all these, Quicken is such a tool that lessens this burden with an interactive finance management tool. With the initial release over DOS in 1983, Quicken now offers its services across Windows, Mac, and even on mobile platforms.

The primary userbase and market for Quicken lies in North America. However, the core functions and tools are all reliable across the globe in countries like Australia, India, Germany, etc. There was a UK special version till 2005 too.

Quicken’s Core Features

Quicken offers a wider range of service and distinct products as per needs. The Quicken finance software includes various packs like starter, deluxe, and premiere subscription.

Quicken offers solutions to financing like manage spending, budget creation, view/pay bills, investment tracks, property manager, and retirement plan suggestions.

One of the conventional alternatives to Quicken is Money dance, YNAB, and Personal Capital. However, in terms of price and feature-rich content, Quicken works the best.

Sadly, Quicken’s bill paying is going through turmoil. This is one of the core features of Quicken. After Inuit left Quicken, the future of this product seems a bit shady.

Quicken offers up to 5 GB online backups, and many services like online billing, archive investments, performance analysis, custom invoices, free credit score, and an optimized UI.

The key strengths of Quicken include its in-depth finance features, active portfolio management, optimized mobile app, and reliable payment and budgeting tools.

However, there are few cons too here. A few of them are poor customer services, sync issues, and paid sync between desktop and mobile apps.

Conclusion

Quicken seems to be a very reliable source for personal financing for many families across the globe. This is how their core userbase was built. After Inuit left them, some of the issues are too prevalent in Quicken. We hope, unlike its previous fiasco, they do not abandon their loyal userbase.
