Confluence Review and Overview

Confluence is a renowned collaboration tool. It was developed by Atlassian in 2004 using Java programming code. It has a dedicated Tomcat web server and database of HSQL. They even added their own servers in 2014 to reduce the overall load. Users can create their own work, collaborate, and organize it in one place. It offers sleek knowledge management, project collaboration, employee management.

Confluence Collaboration Tools

Confluence offers to connect various workplaces and teams. Users can create, collaborate, and manage their workplaces. Confluence comes in three base plans, viz., Basic, Standard, and Premium. They are priced at $0, 5, and $10, respectively. The Plans are also offered in the cloud as well as Self-Managed plans.

In the Cloud plan, they offer plans for up to 10 users in the free version. With each added 100 users, you can add $10 extra. In the free plan of Confluence, users get access to unlimited space and pages. Users also get access to macros, structured page tree, page versioning, tons of template library, and other apps or integrations in it.

With the Standard Plan, users get additional access and up to 5000 users. Now, you can use page permission tools too. Also, anonymous access and audit logs are seen here. Compared to 2 GB of storage space in the free version, Confluence offers up to 250 GB file storage. Similarly, the Premium Plan of Confluence has got some additional perks. It has all features of the standard setup, with the addition of admin keys, advanced analytics, inspect permissions, and copy space requirements. They also offer full uptime SLA in this plan. Contrarily, it has unlimited storage space compared to the other two offers.

Confluence has a SAML SSO feature too. Admins can switch to user provisioning too. It also has active sync directory and organizational level audit logs. Apart from this, all connected to the cloud server is secured via encryption too. Confluence covers multiple areas like business strategy, designs, Docs, reports, marketing, productivity, etc. Industry leaders like HubSpot, Lucidchart, Indeed, Zendesk, etc. to use these templates. Overall, Confluence is a true collaboration app with amazing integration like Box, Slack, Salesforce, etc. to enhance its usability.
