Google Hangouts Chat Review and Overview
Google Hangouts Chat has many traditional as well as advanced features of a chat application. This tool primarily comes with the subscription of Google G Suite. Under this G Suite, Hangouts Chat is part of all three plans, namely Basic, Business and Enterprise versions. They are priced at $6, 12, and $25, respectively.
Google Hangouts Chat Features
Google Hangouts Chat is integrated into teams and business communication. It supports direct chat and other communication methods, along with group conversations, virtual rooms, threaded conversations, etc. The chat supports over 28 languages and up to 8000 members. Users can directly opt for the 14-day trial of Hangouts Chat.
The chat interface uses containers. Users can see the list of members on the left side along with the list of chat rooms. The best part of Hangouts Chat is that it has deep integrations from G Suite. It has added features of Google Drive, docs, sheets, etc. Meetings can be directly arranged using the Hangouts Meet app. This chat also has a search tool to find out the desired stuff from the rooms, conversations, or any of the shared files.
Hangouts Chat Interface and Bots
It also has an integrated Drive Bot to notify about any shared files, chats reply, or access requests. Google Calendar can also be integrated to create schedules for meetings and other Hangouts Chat. Another essential feature of this setup is its enhanced security tools. The chat is secured via Google servers. It uses Vault services to do so. There are exclusive rights to the admins like preserving chats via archiving or using the search/export tools.
