Filtering and searching for the right references from your entire library by using keywords, authors, journals, or publication year becomes an easy task through tagging and labeling methods. Not just scientific papers but also articles, websites, presentations, and other documents are citable using this tool.

Paperpile helps you by searching across significant databases such as Google Scholar, PubMed, and ArXiv. It will be able to combine data from multiple sources to give complete and accurate results. Buttons from Paperpile can directly save these PDFs to your systems in the same way as they are present on those databases. A chrome extension enables users to keep them directly and derives accurate metadata, abstracts, and PDFs with one click. Supplementary texts, Excel, or CSV files with additional data are addable to word files and stores them together with your articles. One-click downloads are also available.

Express annotations

Emphasis can be applied as you can highlight and underline important parts of the paper. These color codes are customizable as you can devise a sophisticated scheme or choose a single color. Markdown helps you add rich formatting to your sticky notes while collaborating with colleagues and students in real-time. You can create printable summaries to condense your annotations. These summaries are visitable at any time, and you know what exactly the paper was about through them. All annotations you create are saved directly as a PDF and storable in Google Drive to provide ready backup.
