Introduction

Lead generation is the first step for online marketing campaigns. Before you start reaching out to potential customers and clients, you will first have to gather those leads.

There are all sorts of ways to go about the lead generation process. You can have landing pages, popups, and forms of various other kinds.

However, the biggest roadblock for most the lead generation campaigns out there is that visitors find no strong reason to provide their contact information. If the transaction is beneficial to both the parties, then the likeliness of getting a lead increase significantly.

There are a few things that a marketer can provide the visitor in return for the contact information. It can be coupons, discounts, free courses, free stuff, and so much more.

Or you can offer to satisfy the user’s curiosity in exchange for the lead. Quizzes are the best way to achieve this endeavor. A lot of marketers are moving to quizzes to boost their lead generation campaigns.

Quizzes are excellent at grabbing user’s attention, to begin with, and can offer valuable insights to them depending on the kind of quiz it is.

Interact is a lead generation software which helps users build interactive quizzes. These quizzes can directly be related to the service or product you are offering, or it might be about something that you think the user would like to know.

They allow one to create various kinds of quizzes and bring in leads for the business using them. Interact is not the only lead generation tool which uses quizzes for the purpose.

The presence of other similar platforms allows us to gauge Interact against them and find out how good it is at the task it is supposed to do.

In this review, we will tell you all there is to know about Interact. We will see how easy it is to create quizzes using this tool, and what are the different kinds of quizzes that one can create.

We will try to find out what kind of subjects and topics we can encompass in these quizzes, and how flexible they are for the needs of the user.

By the end of this review, you will not only have a much better idea about the capabilities of Interact, but you may also get to know a thing or of two more about quizzes and lead generation, as well.

Choices at the beginning

Let us start away with the quiz building process.

The platform will provide you with two options at the beginning. You can either select one of the premade quiz templates on the tool or create a quiz from scratch on your own.

Both the options will present you with even more choices as you move forward.

If you decide to use one of the templates already available on the platform, you will have to first select the appropriate niche for the quiz. Interact offers a lot of template categories which vary according to different industries and purposes.

The available options include choices such as Yoga, Blogging, Parenting, Marketing, Fashion, and so much more. All of these categories house multiple template options depending on the possibilities that each section brings with it.

The user can easily use the exact quiz for her campaign if all the questions seem relevant and interesting enough. If not, then one can introduce appropriate changes in the question and answers to customize the quiz.

The other method of creating a quiz, i.e., building it from scratch, offers the user with three kinds of quiz options. One can create almost any type of quiz using one of the three types.

The first type is called ‘Assessment’ quiz. Such quizzes have questions with various choices, and only one of those choices will be the correct answer. At the end of the quiz, the user will get to know how many of his responses were correct.

Such a quiz can be used to test out the knowledge of an individual about popular subjects and interests. People are often intrigued when their understanding of a specific topic is under the spotlight.

The next type is the ‘Personality’ quiz. These will not be about correct or incorrect answers. Everything will be subjective, and it will all depend upon the person taking the quiz.

Personality quizzes are not about finding the correct answers; instead it is about pointing out the most appropriate option. User can map various answers to point toward different quality traits and therefore, different personalities.

Such quizzes often attract a lot of attention. People like to know more about themselves rather than anyone else, and these quizzes do precisely that. They tell where the person stands in the social equation, around the topic of interest, and who wouldn’t find that interesting.

Finally, we have ‘Scored’ quizzes. These are the quizzes most of us are familiar with. There will be a series of question, and each answer holds a value. The value can also be null, obviously.

The person needs to answer the questions and accumulate the score. At the end of the quiz, the score puts a number on how well or poor the visitor performed.

The score makes it easier to compare one’s performance against another’s.

You can go for any of these methods depending on your preference and needs. Interact provides you all the possible ways to create a quiz to serve your lead generation campaign.

The quiz editor

So far, we learned that Interact allows for the creation of three different kinds of quizzes. However, the editor for these quizzes is virtually the same. The only things which vary for the three quizzes are the result type and setting up the correlations for them.

Before we analyze the differences a bit more, let us first get through the part which is common for all the three types.

The editor layout on Interact is very simple and minimalistic. It consists of a panel on the left and the quiz canvas on the rest of the screen.

The left side panel helps with navigation as well as taking care of some of the properties of the quiz.

The first thing you get to deal with is the cover of your quiz. Interact has conveniently divided it into four different sections. There is a title, image, description, and the start button.

You can have the formatting of your liking. You can change everything except the font size for all the text content you add for the quiz. For image, you can either upload one from your device or choose one from the platform itself.

There are plenty of high-quality image options to go well with the quizzes. The image editing tool will let you crop the image to make it exactly what’s needed in the quiz.

Most users will expect to deal with questions and answers after the cover of the quiz but Interact provides the results section right after it. It is not a compulsion to deal with results before getting into the questions and answers part.

For results, there are once again four sections; title, image, description, and a call to action button. You can deal with all the four parts the same way as it happened in the case of cover section.

However, the call to action button, available under results, holds more importance than other buttons on the quiz. You can link it to the landing page, a product page, or something else you want to showcase the user.

These call to action buttons can be an excellent opportunity to achieve more than just lead generation with the quiz.

The results section can vary depending on the kind of quiz you are dealing with.

You can set up the question-answer page in various ways on this platform. Interact allows the user to pick between image and text mode for both question and answers.

Images are much better at grabbing the viewer’s attention and making things more enjoyable. There can be a lot of difference in the engagement levels for a question when it is availed entirely in text and when it comes with images related to the content of the question.

But just because the tool allows you to add images with questions and answers, it does not mean you necessarily need to. Interact recommends using only text for the question and using image answers, and we agree with them.

Once again depending on the quiz type, you can manage settings for the answers. If it is a personality quiz, you will have to establish a correlation between the answers and at least one of the results.

Each result will be awarded one point for each correlation, and by the end of the quiz, the result with most points will show the personality of the visitor.

For the scored quiz, you can assign a score for answers, and the cumulative will be shown at the end. For results, in this case, you can create pages for various score ranges or scores.

If it is an assessment quiz, you will have to mark the correct answer. For results, you can once again create a results page for individual numbers or a range of numbers.

Interact allows one to add as many results and questions in the quiz as they want.

We discussed only the basic edition options for the quiz in this section. Let us now move on to some of the more advanced and complicated features available on this tool.

Introduce branching and logic to the quiz

This has to be one of our favorite parts on the entire tool. Most of the quiz builders available out there allow the user to create only simple quizzes in which one question leads to the next question.

But Interact provides the user with a full-fledged drag-and-drop builder to establish correlation between various questions and introduce logic into the sequence.

All kinds of people will try the quiz you publish under your campaign. It is apparent that all these people will have different preferences and tastes. Interact allows one to account for as many differences in preferences as possible, in a single quiz.

You can choose which question will appear next for the client if she gives a specific response. Such a strategy will not only make the quiz more engaging and exciting for the person taking the quiz, but it will significantly improve your chances of getting a lead, as well.

The process of creating a logical branched out quiz is simple.

You can drag and drop the question on the builder, establish a relation between the responses and subsequent questions, and finally lead the responses to most logical results.

The process sounds simple, and it is simple to execute too, but it can let you create extremely complicated sequences in no time.

One needs to take care of the results, questions, and answers before getting into the builder.

The opt-in form

The primary goal of quizzes you create on this platform is to get you more leads. For every quiz you create on Interact, the opt-in form appears right before the results pages for the person taking the quiz.

This sort of placement ensures that the person has gone through the entire quiz and is more likely to go through the opt-in process to get to the results page. However, one should not use the tactic to fool users into providing their contact information. If the content you serve to the user is not relevant to them, then you won’t get anything eventually, anyway.

Bad tactics will only lead to users marking your emails as spam and jeopardizing the reputation of the organization. Now that we have cleared that one should remain ethical with the whole process let us see all we can do with the opt-in form.

The opt-in form or data capturing can be enabled and disabled for quizzes you create on the tool. But who are we kidding, what’s the point of creating the quiz if not for lead capturing, right?

Interact lets you decide what kind of contact information you want to collect using the opt-in form. It can be anything ranging from email address to the ZIP code.

You can provide the user the option to skip the step or make it a compulsion to fill the form if they want to see the results. Other settings options include displaying link to the privacy policy of the organization and enabling/disabling the GDPR compliant consent checkbox.

Finally, you can take care of the appearance of the form. You can change the text, take care of button color, text on it, size of the text, etc.

Having the right kind of text on the call to action button can yield some outstanding results.

Integrations

Gathering leads is just a small step if you look at the bigger picture. Leads are necessary for outreach campaigns. It is only after having these leads that you can consider emailing them or promoting your service or product to them in some other way.

Whatever way you choose to use the leads and reach out to prospects, the transition from lead generation to outreach campaign should be smooth enough. You can’t blindly collect all the leads and get confused when it comes to sorting them.

Interact not only makes sure that you don’t get into much trouble while setting up a bridge between the two kinds of campaigns, but it provides additional features to make sure you don’t have to waste much time on the not-so-productive tasks.

Email automation platforms are the first thing that would come to anyone’s mind if we talk about integrations for a lead generation platform. Interact provides direct integration options for the majority of the popular email automation tools.

With these integrations, you won’t have to worry about moving email lists or even sorting them according to various needs. The platform allows the user to take care of integrations at the time of launching the quiz.

You can pick the tool which you use for email marketing. And it is not just email marketing platforms, Interact allows one to connect with a whole range of other automation tools. It can be your CRM tool or any other marketing tool that you might be using.

You can create different lists based on user responses, thus allowing you to stay more organized during the reaching out part.

Various analytics tools are also a part of integration options that you will get with the tool. You can synchronize Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel to monitor the campaigns.

It is quite convenient to post quizzes as Facebook ads and generate more leads. The fact that you can post Interact quizzes on Facebook might not seem like much of an integration feature, but it helps the campaign to flourish.

It is a simple enough task to connect the platform with your website or the website building tool that you might be using. You will find plugins where needed, and the option to paste the code is always there anyway.

Interact can efficiently work with all the applications and platforms you are already using. There should not be much trouble when you try to include it in your usual marketing ecosystem.

Analytics and monitoring

Once you start putting out quizzes using Interact, you would expect to see better results in the lead generation department.

When it comes to measuring the success of a lead generation campaign, things go a little bit beyond the number of leads generated. One would need to look at the conversion rather than absolute numbers.

The analytics section of quizzes on Interact will help you find out such information. You get to see the number of visitors who landed on the quiz, the portion which started with the quiz, and the ones who submitted the opt-in form to see the final results.

You will get to see these conversion statistics over a funnel animation. It is one great way to understand a bit about the extent and reach of the quiz or campaign.

Interact provides individual analytics section for all the quizzes you publish. It consists of various sections focusing on different stats related to the quiz.

The first section gives you an overview of the quiz. It shows the conversion rate, the social media shares, top results, and recently collected leads.

The next section is about leads collected through the quiz. You will get to see the information collected through the opt-in form and the results that each of them got.

There is a section dedicated just to the results. Even though Interact offers quizzes as a way of lead generation, it can be an excellent opportunity to know about audience’s choice and preference as well. You can collect some survey data using the quizzes and imply the learnings in your future campaigns or other areas.

The results section will tell you a lot about the opinions and preferences of users.

Some users might not be satisfied knowing just about the results. The ‘question and answers’ section allows them to analyze specific questions of the quiz. It can help one get a more in-depth insight into what opinions people have about various issues.

You can vary the timeline for the data increase or reduce the scope of monitoring. It is up to the user to decide how she wants to use all this information.

Interact can integrate easily with third-party analytics tools too. You can then use the findings from those platforms on top of what interact offers to its users.

The crux is that you will not run out of information and stats related to quizzes and campaigns to improve the existing scheme of things.

Conclusion

Interact is among the best tools that one can have to unleash the power of quizzes and use it for lead generation.

The three different kinds of quizzes that you can create on the platform encompass most of the possibilities. It can be a quiz which gives out scores in the end, one to test the knowledge of visitors, and the personality quizzes are undoubtedly among the most interesting one.

The only improvement we wanted to see in this section is the option to change the rules how results are calculated or found out. It would have allowed the user to be more dynamic with results and create more sophisticated quizzes.

We liked how Interact took care of the needs of different users by allowing one to use templates for quizzes and by giving the option to start a quiz from scratch, as well.

The various templates cover a wide variety of real-life cases that one may have for quizzes. Some of them are so good and engaging that the user can deploy them straightaway without making a lot of changes.

Creating or editing a quiz on the editor was reasonably simple. The processes were intuitive, and the availability of options in this section was once again an added bonus. Adding image answers or questions add up a lot to the engagement factor of the quiz.

The ability to add logical sequencing and branching is something that sets Interact apart from a lot of quiz builders. The feature allows the user to be so much freer and more flexible with the whole thing.

There were enough integration options to include the platform in the current scheme of things without much of a hiccup. It comes with all the necessary integration options for email automations and publishing the quiz on websites, or other platforms is not a problem, as well.

We liked the extent of details for everything on Interact, and there is no doubt that it is an excellent tool for lead generation campaigns.
