Our arrival at the software
There is nothing like installations and downloading with the software. It is an online form creation platform. When we arrive at the software, we sign up and reach the home page of the platform; it looks like this.
While you create the account on SuperSaas, you can choose whether you want to create forms as an individual or as an organization. Though there is no difference in the options, you get further.
As you can see in the image, the platform provides you with some controls to help you create form. Precisely, there are eight controls in the table, namely, new schedule, new form, user management, access control, account info, layout setting, subscription status, and usage information.
We shall discuss all these controls in brief.
Either side of the home screen of the platform enlists a few more options, some of which are the same as mentioned above. The screen on which you see these options is called a dashboard.
We shall discuss the controls in the next section.
Creating a schedule
The above image is the scheduler page of the platform that provides us three scheduling options. You can schedule resources, capacity, and service for the appointment you wish to create.
You can also choose any one of them for a single form. However, you always have the choice to change these settings before you publish the form.
The next wizard is for a new schedule. In this section, you can limit and exceed the permissions of the users regarding the rights on the form.
Moreover, you can also choose the login permissions and requirements to log into the form. You grant or deny permission for the users to make any change in the form.
The next wizard is a new schedule wizard that allows you to choose a name for the schedule that you are going to create.
The next section of the new schedule wizard helps you in imposing some limits regarding the timing and attempts in scheduling or reserving.
It is the last step of creating a schedule. After finishing this step successfully, your schedule is created, and you can now access and control it as per the rules you set.
Supervising the schedule
When you create a schedule, you can see it on the dashboard of the platform. The platform provides you three controls for the created schedule, namely, use, supervise, configure.
The ‘use’ control allows you to use the schedule. You can use the created schedule as an ordinary user.
Consider the schedule we created by the name ‘coding lessons’ that is intended to provide coding lessons to the students. If you want to reserve some slots for the lesson, you can acquire this with the help of the calendar shown in the image.
The calendar automatically provides the timings of the day according to the rules that are set by the administrator of the respective schedule.
The supervisor gets furthermore options to supervise and control the booking. If we consider the coding lesson schedule, the below image shows the options that a supervisor gets. The options remain the same for any schedule.
The overview option allows the supervisor to have a glance at all the options at once. You can view the options and settings in one place to get an idea about the schedule you supervise.
Opening hours and special hours are timing related supervision rights and allow you to make changes in slot or time booking of the schedule.
If being a supervisor, you allow people to download the print receipt of booking; the download option helps you in limiting some rights of the users during downloading and printing.
The ‘synchronize’ allows you to synchronize and allow users to share the schedule calendar or publish the schedule with Microsoft Outlook, Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, or any other calendar applications.
It allows users to get a personalized calendar to remain updated and secure. Also, a synchronized calendar allows the users to synchronize their availability to get easy updates about the available slots for them.
However, synchronizing a schedule depends on the consent of the supervisor, but a synchronized schedule or calendar is efficient and easy to use.
Reporting allows the supervisor to keep an eye on the schedule regarding the availability and bookings. The platform provides a graph to study the reports of the schedule.
The graph presents the figures for the scheduled, available, and booked schedule to make the changes in the calendar accordingly.
All these supervising functions except for synchronization are available to you for free. Synchronization needs you to subscribe to the SuperSaaS. However, the subscription is free initially; it expires after a period, which requires you paying to continue with it.
Configuration of the schedule
The platform allows you to configure and edit the settings to make the schedule more active and interactive.
The overview option is the same as that in the supervising section. It shows the summary of the various sections of the schedule, namely; resource summary, access summary, process summary, and layout summary.
The other options allow you to edit the settings of the entries in these summaries. The ‘resource’ allows you to edit the settings regarding the name of the schedule, term, capacity, overbooking, location, price, and time.
These options remain the same for any schedule that you create on the platform.
‘Access’ allows you to edit the access permissions of the schedule. A sound set of access rules are always necessary to generate a sense of security within users.
These permissions on this platform include permission, like viewing the schedule, deleting schedules, accessing the bookings made by someone else, and a few more.
The process option allows editing the process of the schedule.it is solely the right of the supervisor. It includes changing the settings regarding the credentials to log into the schedule.
You can also make some credentials mandatory, while some can remain optional. The features of sending the reminder email can also be controlled from this section of the platform.
The platform also allows you to edit some settings regarding the payment done to confirm the reservation.
Layout settings are another setting in the configuration section of the schedule. In this section, you can make changes in the vertical size, color, and views of the layout of the schedule.
Custom messages are those messages that you write in the place of the default messages. These messages replace the default messages that appear to notify the completion of some tasks in the schedule or to issue some warnings.
SuperSaaS provides you enter the custom messages for several messages like the login screen, follow-up, reminders, and a few more. You can enter any message of your choice and edit it in any desired way.
You get ‘Word’ resembling interface to enter the message and a few options to edit and customize it. You can add various effects, alignments, and colors to the text.
Moreover, you can also add images to enhance the view of the message. For example, you can add an image expressing sorrow if you write some message for invalid or incomplete profiles.
If you do not add any custom messages to the schedule, the messages remain default and show the predefined text.
Creating a form
Like the custom text, SuperSaaS also allows you to create an all-new custom form.
You can create two kinds of form with SuperSaaS; integrated and stand-alone. The integrated form automatically inherits the settings that seem most relevant to it.
On the other hand, stand-alone forms allow you to choose a few settings, particularly the access permissions and further action on completion of the form.
Designing the form is the next step in creating the form.
You can see the fields that your form should contain in the image. As you add the fields and their entries in the form, they would appear beside the available options, thus, presenting the layout of the form.
You also need to provide some entries for every icon or field you choose to insert into the form. Like, when you choose a radio button, you need to provide some text and the options to choose from.
We created a demo form with two fields for the ‘coding lesson.’ The form looks like it appears in the image below.
After you create the form, the platform allows you to configure the settings. Like the schedule, it also provides options like overview, design, process, and messages.
The SMS gateway is another feature that allows you to have handy experience with the platform. Through this feature, you can acquire the updates and notifications about the chosen schedule.
To activate SMS notifications, you need to provide your mobile number to get the notifications. You can append a default message with the notifications that you receive.
You also get a few settings with the gateway to enhance and change the functioning of the gateway according to your convenience.
Through the user management section of SuperSaaS, you can search for the existing users and can also create a new user by providing the required details of the user.
Moreover, you can also create a superuser. A superuser has some special access rights and can also make some changes in the scheduled appointments.
You can also add various methods for payment to confirm the booking of the users. You can add various methods for accepting the payment.
The available methods are credit and debit cards, PayPal, and stripe. You can also add a message that appears on the top of the shop page of the schedule.
There are a few more features of SuperSaaS that make it utilitarian for creating and managing a schedule. Import feature allows you to attach a file in CSV format.
The file can contain any relevant information like user details, superuser details. Attaching a file prevents you from manually entering the details.
The platform automatically acquires the information from the attached CSV file and retains the default information for any blank or skipped fields.
You can also export the already attached file by downloading it from the platform. Usage information helps you acquiring the information about the upcoming and past bookings of the schedule.
There are also a few more settings to manage the schedule.
Layout settings help you to make your form and the platform more presentable. You can change various colors and themes for various entries in the form.
You can acquire the information about the status of the subscription of SuperSaaS and the available subscription packages for you.
The platform provides enough features for creating a schedule for reservations. The form creation feature allows you to add to the utility of the created schedule.
Some of the features are noteworthy. The SMS gateway feature undoubtedly increases the utility of the created schedule. It is one of the few features which help SuperSaaS to remain in the race.
Though the platform claims of being a suitable scheduling platform for meetings and appointments, it fails to realize it completely. When you use the platform, it seems more suitable for scheduling videos or tutorials.
It does not mean that it cannot be used to schedule professional meetings, but you can have a better option for this purpose.
The import and export options are good to see options. These are smart additions and prevent users from manual efforts of entering the details.
The limitation of not accepting only CSV formats of file overshadows the smartness of the feature. Though converting file formats is not difficult, but requires efforts.
The subscription limitation is also not very cherishing. You cannot use all the features of the platform unless you subscribe at least one of the available packages.
The platform, in total, is utilitarian, but a few things still see some scope for improvements. The suggested improvements would certainly grab the attention of more and productive users.
